FILM COLOGNE focusing on Brussels and Flanders during Art Cologne

The second edition of FILM COLOGNE will present ‘Flanders Moving Image’, a series of film and video works by artists who live and work in Brussels and Flanders, curated by Philippe Pirotte, dean of the Städelschule, and Fabian Schöneich, curator at Portikus in Frankfurt.

Who we are and what we do?
Flanders Arts Institute (Kunstenpunt) is a brand-new organisation that was founded on 1 January 2015 as a result of the merger of the Flemish Institute for Visual, Audiovisual and Media Art (BAM), the Flanders Music Centre (MCV) and the Institute for the Performing Arts (VTi). In the service of the arts sector, it becomes the central point of contact for all visual and performing arts and for all music genres, both national and international. The organisation’s core tasks are practice development, field research and the expansion of collective (inter)national relations. It provides information
and documentation, and stimulates the practice of artists and art organisations. Its mission is to increase the awareness and visibility of the Flemish arts scene on an international level through international collaboration, communication and exchange.
